The Alden children are visiting another one of grandfather’s friends. They want to stop for pizza on the way home. It turns out that things haven’t been going so well at the pizza restaurant. Strange things have been happening and there’s not as much business as usual. The primary concern is that there is no oven to bake in because the gas was turned off. The Aldens volunteer their help.

A factory nearby seems to cause all sorts of issues at the pizza restaurant. The factory manager has said that he wants to open a factory cafeteria where the pizza restaurant is. A girl starts working at the restaurant and she seems awfully snoopy. Then there’s Nick, who used to work at the restaurant, but hasn’t shown up a whole lot lately. What’s the deal? Doesn’t everyone love pizza?

What I liked

I like pizza, so stories about pizza are almost as good as eating pizza–no, no they’re not, but stories about pizza are still nice.

What I didn’t like

Grandfather just left his grand kids to work in a pizza restaurant, all by themselves? Who would sabotage a pizza restaurant? Really? Seriously? Everyone loves pizza. What is wrong with you?

Overall

It’s-a-us–the-a crime-solving-box-a-car – children * in a fake Italian pizza man accent*

Weigh In

Would you solve a mystery for pizza?

If someone stole your pizza, would you start a full investigation to figure out who did it?
