The Mystery of the Mummy’s Curse created by Gertrude Chandler Warner
The museum in town is working on a top-secret exhibit, but the Aldens know that it’s about mummies. They get to help setting it up, but things start happening. Things start to go missing.
Another museum director starts sneaking around. The museum director of the museum the Aldens are helping out isn’t very nice. The Egyptologist the museum has brought on for the project apparently loves cats, but something isn’t right.
What I liked
Museums can be fun. Any book that encourages kids to explore museums is a good thing.
Egyptology is interesting, although I’m not sure why one country has an entire branch of archaeology named after it. We don’t have Greecology, and the archaeology in Greece is certainly interesting.
What I didn’t like
Museum thieves are a thing. That’s why museums have to have guards. It’s sad that someone would steal from an institution that endeavors to educate people, but it happens and has happened multiple times.
Yes, museum theft is a thing, and honestly, it’s kind of exciting for all the nerds out there.
Get your hands off my mummy!
Do you think Egyptology is interesting?
